Snow Days - True Story!

We don't always get to enjoy snow days at PDS so today we made the most of it.

Today we read, acted out, and created our own art work based on the story "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats.

We listened to the snow as it went crunch, crunch, crunch with each step.

We saw the footprints left behind.

We felt the cold wet slippery snow under our feet.

Parental Service announcement: No children were frozen in the making of these pictures. We were walking from computer class back to our classroom.

What would you do on a snowy day?

Slide down a hill

Build a snowman

Catch snowflakes
Make footprints

Have a snowball fight

Make snow angels

Wear a coat.... absolutely!!

Stop by our classroom and check out the finished projects. They did a great job with creating snow out of glue and shaving cream!

Project #2
Snowflakes!! It's hard to make snowflakes!!

They were quite proud of their creations!

We had a great snow day!!

Sharing is Caring!!

Last Friday one of my kids broke her snow globe that she brought to school to share with her class. She was proud of it. She told us that it was her favorite because her grandmother gave it to her. Needless to say, when it broke, she was devastated! All the kids were sweet to her but there was nothing we could do.

Today, when we arrived at school, Walker gave Iris a homemade snow globe that he made for her. He was so sweet and thoughtful and she was so excited! I loved it!!

We love Chemistry!!

Thank you Courtney Howell for spending your day off with us. It was literally the "funnest fun Friday" LOL

We made Elephant Toothpaste.

We created PLASTIC from milk and vinegar. Who knew?

Finally found out what happens when you add oil and water but the cool thing was, it was colored water. It was amazing.
